sleep better at night?
Master your leadership skills by understanding the context
of work-life so it works for you.
Overburdened in a “top” position of your organization? Feeling torn in “middle” management by the expectations of those above and those reporting to you? Discontented and disengaged at the “bottom” of the heap? Our work life has a profound impact on our overall life. And the higher we go on the corporate ladder, the greater the chance we could either fall off through a misstep, be kicked off, take ourselves off intentionally, or be taken down by the physical or psychological impacts of the job. Understanding the context of work matters greatly for a successful work life experience, and our overall wellbeing.
Work with us to understand and master the context of work.
Through our Mastering your Context service, we help you understand the unseen but often felt stressful forces that exist in the workplace through indiviudal and group leadership workshops, coaching and support.
Increase leadership capabilities – your own and others – to decrease stress and increase collaboration and accountability up, down and across your organization.
Total system empowerment. Now we’re talking!
Those who learn, grow.
Those who resist opportunities to learn new skills, methods and behaviours derail themselves and others.
Leaders must go first when it comes to learning and development. The strength of an organization is only as good as the strength of their leaders. And leaders can only expect the best from their people if they themselves are growing and giving their best.
Leadership requires mastery at four levels: Self, Inter-personal, Teams, and Systems.
Self Mastery is a leader’s ability to own their growth. It involves self-assessment, reflection, and self-regulation.
Interpersonal Mastery is a leader’s ability to interact well with others. It involves relationship building, communication skills, and an ability to manage conflict.
Team Mastery is leader’s ability to guide a group of people toward a vision. It involves setting direction, pulling out the best in others and holding each member and the team to account.
System Mastery is a leader’s ability to both harness and navigate the larger organization to achieve results. It involves understanding how the organization works in terms of its mechanics, as well as how human systems work and interact at the varying levels of the organization.
The degree of mastery in each of these four areas increases the further one goes in their leadership role. The competency expectations shift and change between levels of leadership.
As does the internal politics inherent to any organization.
Learning to navigate both is critical to a leader’s success.
